Many trees look like dead in winter time. They have no leave, no green, no energy, just dry branches. Many people would see them deadly. However, trees themselves know what are happening. There is life inside their trunks. It is their tough time each year to face the cold of winter. Although their outlook is dead, there is still life and hope inside each tree. Thus, it is said that never cut a tree down in winter time (Robert H. Schuller).

Trees in winter time remind us about our life regarding the way we look at others and look into ourselves.

LOOKING AT OTHER PEOPLE WITH RESPECT

Each person has their own time zone. We are not identical. Hence, we will have different time zone to feel, suffer, be healed, adapt, grow, develop and mature. Do you think a man need to succeed when he gets to 40 years old? If the answer is yes, we would look down on those who struggles with many issues in their 40s. However, do you know KFC? Yes, it became international brand now! Do you see an image of an old man in the logo? He is Colonel Harland Sanders (1890-1980). He started up his career in 1952 when he was 62 years old. He sold the franchise business for $2 million 12 years later.

Another instance of Samuel Jackson, a famous actor was 46 when he played his role as Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction. Do you know before that he had struggled with drug addiction for two years until he got his first major role in Jungle Fever in 1991.

We do not know when the springtime of other people is, so respect and respect.

LOOKING INTO OURSELVES WITH PATIENCE

We will face difficulties in life. Many times we might think that it is hopeless, it is despair. Hold on. It may be just the other people’s opinions thinking about you, it looks like you lost many things which you used to possess. How about the life inside you?
Do you still have health?
Do you still have your family and friend’s support?
Do you still have roof on your head?
Do you still have food every day?
Do you still have faith in God?

You see you have a lot of happy conditions here and now.
One more thing you have lost and need to practice more is PATIENCE.
The storm will pass and the spring will come.
