Happy feast day of all grandmothers and grandfathers!
It is a great day to remember them in our prayers and visitations.

Let us recall the image of our grandparents and see how blessed they are to our lives. They are often gentle, give us a lot of food and lollies. They did not spare anything with us. It seemed like they tried to show their love for us. They also wanted us to be happy and satisfied. Mom and Dad can say no to us, but our grandparents always give us more. Because of that, we often say: grandparents always spoilt children!

Have you ever visited your grandmother or father when you needed a peaceful place to hide from the whole world? Most of cases, we will feel much better after a few hours or days with our beloved grandparents. They gave us a safe place to be. We breathe, laugh, and cry there. Indeed, Jennifer Betts says: “Grandparents are the perfect mix of wisdom, love, and a splash of magic.”

Today, we honour our grandparents who love us so so much.
They are the bridge between the past and the show. They aspire to reflect God’s love to us. The love is unconditional, generous, empathetic, and patient. They give a safe and loving environment for all.
Let us celebrate the day with visitations to show our gratitude to them. Or let us make phone calls and have conversations. with them. Let us give thanks and share meals while exchanging family stories. Let us keep special keepsakes or say prayers for those who passed away.

Happy feast day to all who elected St. Joakim and Anna as patron and patroness today.

With love,
