The Mediterranean Sea is a vast body of water that separates three continents: Europe, Africa, and Asia. Looking at a map, it’s clear how the sea is nearly encircled by land, creating an image of a sheltered, small body of water.
The Mediterranean sea looks very small and protective by land. It is tempted for many African and Asian migrants to cross the sea to reach Europe for a better place. But it is also well-known as with many deadly sea journeys of many Mediterranean migrants.Over 28,000 people have died or have been declared missing while in migration across the Mediterranean Sea since 2014.[1]
What could go wrong to cross the sea like that? But they underestimate the brutal power of water, of the sea and storms. Even with the small sea and look calm, when they are in an Open water, they can think “we are confident, we can do it on our own.” Until the storm comes, they face the horrified situation of a potential graveyard. They would feel panic, scared and lost.
It is also our life story. Many times we are in the Open water of life. We feel lost, confuse, worried, and scared. Then, we stopped, looked around and saw a LIGHTHOUSE! It is our guidance to a safe place, to the promised Land. We need the Lighthouse for our journey.
If you are in the Open Water for a long time and think you can do it your own. Be careful, it can be a severe consequences because there is no place to survive. It is the time to stop and look for a LIGHTHOUSE and head towards the light.

If you don’t know how to survive,…
Please stop and look at the Light, change your direction and turn towards to the Light and have a relationship with the LIGHT.
Once we have a relationship with the LIGHT, we actually become a Light to people around us.
