Since earning my Australian driver’s licence in 2016, Google Maps has been my trusted companion on the road. She is more than just a navigation tool—she is a steady guide, always ready to lead me wherever I need to go.
In sprawling cities like Melbourne or Sydney, where roads twist and overlap in a maze of complexity, I often miss an exit or take a wrong turn. In those moments, frustration could easily take over. But Google Maps doesn’t scold me for my mistakes; she doesn’t tell me I’ve failed. Instead, without hesitation, she recalculates the route and gently offers a new path forward.
There is something profoundly wise in this. Life, much like the road, is full of unexpected detours and missed turns. We make mistakes, we lose our way, and sometimes, we find ourselves in places we never intended to be. But just as Google Maps calmly redirects us, life, too, offers new paths—if only we are willing to listen, adjust, and move forward.
The key is not to dwell on the wrong turns but to trust that a new route is always possible. And with the right guidance, we will always find our way.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Just like Google Maps recalculates our route when we take a wrong turn, God, in God’s wisdom and providence, gently redirects us when we go astray. Even when we feel lost or uncertain, God is always there, guiding us toward the path God has prepared for us. Our role is to trust in God, surrender our own limited understanding, and allow God to lead us forward.
Dear friends,
Be courage and let God lead us!
With love,
