Once upon a time, a wise old king received a gift: two rare baby eagles from a faraway land. They were strong, majestic birds, and the king was thrilled. He built a special place for them in his royal garden and appointed the best trainers in the kingdom to care for them.

Over time, one of the eagles grew and began to fly high into the sky — powerful, graceful, and free. But the other eagle refused to fly. It looked healthy and ate well, but it never left its branch. Trainers tried everything — music, food, whistles, even another eagle flying nearby. Still, it wouldn’t move.

Finally, the king announced, “Whoever can make this eagle fly will be rewarded with gold.”

The very next morning, the king woke to the sound of excitement in the garden. To his amazement, both eagles were soaring high in the sky.

“Bring me the person responsible!” the king said.

A humble farmer stepped forward. Curious, the king asked, “How did you do it? Was it a trick? A special skill?”

The farmer bowed and replied, “I simply cut the branch where the eagle always sat.”

There was silence. Then the king smiled, for he had just learned a lesson deeper than any book or battle had ever taught him.

Reflection:
Sometimes, we hold on to what feels safe — even when we are meant to fly. The branch may feel comfortable, but it also keeps us stuck.

Real growth begins when we let go of what’s holding us back.

You were born with wings — with potential, dreams, and strength. You may not know what will happen when you take that leap, but stepping into the unknown is how we learn, grow, and become who we are meant to be.

It’s in letting go that we discover the sky was always ours.

Let go of the branch. It’s time to fly

With love,
