Have you ever seen the little symbol G>∧∨? It looks like some kind of math equation, but it actually says something really powerful: “God is greater than the highs and lows.”

  • G: Represents God.
  • >: Signifies “greater than”.
  • : Stands for the “highs” or peaks in life.
  • : Represents the “lows” or valleys in life.

Think about it—life is full of ups and downs. Sometimes we feel like we’re on top of the world: good grades, strong friendships, dreams starting to come true. Other times, we feel like we’ve hit rock bottom: rejection, loneliness, stress, or just that sense of being lost. Our emotions go up and down like a roller coaster. But this symbol reminds us that God is steady, no matter what track we’re on.

When life is good and we’re on the “highs,” the challenge is to stay humble. It’s easy to forget God when things are going smoothly, but He’s the one who gave us those blessings. Gratitude keeps our hearts in the right place.

When life drops us into the “lows,” that’s when this truth really matters. God doesn’t walk away when we’re hurting. In fact, He comes closer. His love is bigger than our failures, His strength is stronger than our fears, and His mercy is deeper than our mistakes. As Romans 8 says, nothing can separate us from His love, not the highs, not the lows, nothing.

So what does this mean for us as young Christians? It means we don’t have to let our circumstances define us. We don’t have to be crushed by the lows or prideful in the highs. Instead, we can live with peace and courage, knowing that God is greater than it all.

The next time life feels like a roller coaster, remember this symbol. Write it on your notebook, wear it on a bracelet, keep it in your heart. Let it remind you: No matter where you are, God is bigger and GOD’s with you.

With love,
