It’s normal to feel tired from time to time. However, if you frequently or usually feel drained, it may not be due to overwork but rather because you haven’t engaged in enough activities that truly ignite your passion.
Tiredness can manifest physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
- Consider a builder who spends an entire day working hard under the scorching sun. His exhaustion is physical, and he may need a full night’s rest, from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., to recover.
- Now, think of a young woman who constantly does things for her indifferent boyfriend. Despite her efforts, she feels emotionally drained because her actions aren’t met with the appreciation or happiness she hoped for. She has focused on lighting up his life while neglecting to nurture her own joy.
- Similarly, a middle-aged businessman may have achieved great success and material wealth, yet he struggles with sleepless nights. Despite his outward accomplishments, he feels a profound emptiness that neither money nor entertainment can fill. He has sought external sources of fulfillment but has forgotten to find joy within himself.
The key question is: What can ignite a light within you? If you’re unsure of the answer, it’s not too late to discover it. Finding what truly brings you joy is essential for happiness and fulfillment.
