You think you are behind, don’t you? You look around and see others blooming, shining, achieving—and you wonder if you missed something, if you’ve fallen behind on some invisible timeline. But what if you are exactly where you need to be? Nature does not rush, yet everything unfolds in perfect rhythm. The tree stands bare in winter, and no one scolds it for not blooming. It waits, rooted and patient, gathering strength. The moon waxes and wanes without apology, never once hurrying to match the sun. And yet, both shine in their time.
You, too, are on a sacred schedule. Your growth, though quiet and unseen at times, is no less real. Not all seasons are meant for fruit; some are for rooting, resting, deepening. What feels like delay may actually be preparation. Trust your timing, trust your pace. The soul does not thrive in pressure but in presence. You are not late, you are becoming. The unfolding of your life is not a race but a revelation. Let go of the fear of falling behind. You are not behind—you are on your way. Keep going gently. You are growing exactly as you were meant to.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
Dear God,
When I feel behind or lost, remind me that Your timing is perfect. Teach me to trust the pace You’ve set for my life. Help me to be patient in the waiting, faithful in the growing, and peaceful in the becoming. Let me rest in the truth that I am exactly where I need to be.
With love,
Little-pencil
